Out for some fresh air

Erika and I decided to take advantage of being home together and the nice fall weather. We took Anna out for her first walk. She was asleep before we left on the wall and she stayed snoozing for the whole trip - too bad for her she missed her first tour of the 'Nard .We walked over to my parents house so Anna could meet Sunny the dog. Neither baby or dog were interested in one another. If you look close enough you can see Anna through the plastic wind shield on the stroller. Day 5 was a good one...

Check up and bath

Erika and I took Anna to the doctor's for her first check up - she was awarded a clean bill of health! Then we celebrated with a nice bath. Erika and I had fun trying to style her wild hair.

Making more friends

Ezra and Ricki stopped by to meet Anna. Anna was sad she was not able to meet their dog Ruby. I'm sure they will meet some day.

Finally there

Homeward bound...

Monday ,October 22nd. Today is the day we took Anna home from the hospital. It was bitter sweet leaving the maternity ward - you always want to go home and sleep in your own bed and just be in your own house but on the other hand being at the hospital is nice too. Food is prepared for you , diapers get change for you and there is always a nurse near by with all the answers. But it in the end it was a good feeling to bring Anna home.

A couple new friends stopped by

Oliver and Sarah are the first freinds that Anna made - she wasn't even 24hrs old when they met.

New Family

Here are a few photos of Anna's first meeting with some of her new family members. Erika's parents came down from Gorham , NH to meet their first Grandchild. My Nana Kelley was one of the first people to meet and hold Anna.

10 - 20 -07

Last time we checked in Erika and I were 1 week away from our baby's due date. Well , our baby had other plans. Friday just about mid-night , October 19th , Erika's water broke and we made our way to Emerson Hospital - 18 hours later we welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world. Anna Kennedy McDonald arrived around 5:43p.m. Saturday October, 20th. Anna and Erika rested nicely over the weekend. Anna is all ready a Red Sox fan - shortly after delivery the three of us watched a little of the Sox game (OK is was mostly me that was interested)

1 week and counting!

I week to go until Baby McD is estimated to make his/her appearance! Who knows when that will be? All I know is that Mom hopes s/he won't decide to extend the stay inside my belly! Don't I look slim for 39 weeks? Ha, just kidding, the second photo says it all...

Out sick

Nine days to go and Erika woke up with a little cold... Erika decided to stay home from work to not risk getting more sick - she dosen't want a cold on delivery day. At least Erika has a little experience holding an infant while sick. Last fall Erika donned a painters mask to block her germs while she held Addison. We were only in NH for the weekend and Erika did not want to leave with out holding her new niece. I think we have this catergory covered....
