Birthday party #2

We hosted Anna's 1st birthday "Take Two" last Saturday. It was an exciting day full of family and friends, smashed cake, shiny gift bags, and a ride in her new pink car.

The biggest year of our lives...

We are at the point where we get to say the cliche "Wow, our kid is 1. Where did the time go?" As cliche as it is, it's so true! I really cannot believe that 1 year ago, I was resting in my hospital room holding my new bundle of joy....full of excitement, full of hope for Anna's future, and full of nerves, of course! It has most certainly been a year full of crazy adventures and fun and lots of love. And I can't think of anything else I would rather do than be Anna K's mom. Here are some pictures of Anna on her big day. It was a quiet day, just her and Mom. We went to the park to swing, for a walk, and took some big naps. Dad bought her a Dora balloon and some flowers for Mom...nice touch :-) Happy first birthday, little dootsie. We love you more than anything!

Holiday weekend

Erika and I took Anna apple picking on Saturday. The weather was amazing. Anna enjoyed herself riding high in the back pack and waving to all the passing people.
