Not sure what it was ... the sugar let down from Halloween , the talk of going to the aquarium this week, the idea the Christmas isn't "too far" away or day light savings weekend (or the awful Pats game) but this past weekend everyone seemed off. I felt like we said "no" or "relax" or "calm down" to Anna a hundred times each and Owen wouldn't stop crying - he is the fun stage of fighting sleep. I was able to capture two nice photos this weekend. One of Owen getting ready to watch the Pats game and the other is Anna keeping her baby Duckie warm "just like Mama does" for Owen. She was watching me rake leaves but had to go in because Duckie was cold.

weekend seem more tiring these days

Early birthday surprise
This week Anna turns 3! Pa won't be around this weekend to come to her birthday party , he will be in sunny Florida visiting an old buddy , so he and Nana delivered Anna's gift a little early. She was so excited. Pa had the idea for the extravagant delivery (me in the house on the trailer) I was waiting for our own funny home video to happen - but nothing it was mission accomplished with out injury. Anna has been wanting a play house for some time now. Let the fun begin. Nana was her first house guest followed by Erika , me and John the neighbor.

Trip to Freedom NH - Fryeburg Fair and early trick or treat
Here are some photos of our latest trip north. After our last trip, to NH, Erika and I were scared to travel that far with both kids . On the last trip Owen screamed for 5 hours on a trip that usually takes only 2.5hrs. This time they were both good - Anna watched her videos and Owen ( O-ey , O-Dog ) slept the whole way...what a relief. We went to the Fryeburg (ME) Fair and had a blast. The rest of the weekend was spent hanging out and sitting by the camp fire. Here are some pictures from Columbus Day.

Mish-mosh of the last two months....
This post is a mish-mosh of the last of the photos I've been meaning to post over the last two months. Anna took this picture of her and I--she did a pretty good job on her first semi-self portrait! Dad is proud...
We made the move to a "big gal" bed this month, in preparation for the bambino's arrival in July. We wanted Anna to have ample time to get used to sleeping in the twin bed-so far, so good.
Mimi came down for Memorial day to visit us. She helped out by babysitting Anna while Scott accompanied me to my cousin's bridal shower in Newport RI. Mimi and Anna went to the playground, played in the kiddie pool and ate lots of fun stuff like pancakes and popsicles.
Scott and Anna took a maiden bike ride this weekend. I decided to avoid bike riding, due to my way-off center of gravity!
Seven month photo. Kind of old at this point, but thought I'd post anyway. In 2 days I should be posting an 8th month shot!

Anna the character
Here are some random pictures of Anna during the month of April. She is so hilarious, and never ceases to make us laugh!
Dad bought this stylish "maxi dress" for Anna-go Daddy! At least it has purple on it, so maybe she'll wear it! She is slightly obsessed with purple right now.

This is what having a grade school teacher for a Mimi gets you! A robot costume made out of boxes from the pantry...so creative!

Our good friends, Ricki and Ezra, had a new baby in the end of March--Jonah Nathaniel Benjamin! He is so sweet. Anna was very excited to meet him. She can't wait to have a new baby of her very own. :-)

Easter 2010
Anna had a grand old time this Easter looking for eggs around our house. She was fun this year because she really understood hunting for the eggs, yet I could still take her candy when she wasn't looking and hide it from her. Outta sight, outta mind! She thankfully forgot to ask for it after that morning!
