...Farm. Well a garden anyway. Here is my new Earth Machine backyard composter! Today is the first day of composting. I hope to have some ready for the starting of the planting season.

Anna the performer

Yes, our daughter is a show-off when it comes to performing. I always scoff at those singers who say they've been singing "since they were two" but Anna may turn out to be one of them! Seriously, she begs us to video her and then wants to immediately watch it. Here are a couple gems:

I'm sure most of you faithful readers know this by now, but we are going to expand our family in July. #2 will be born in the end of July, and Anna will be a big sister! She's already very excited, and asks to talk to the baby all the time (through my belly button, of course) Today she asked what the baby's name was...no, we are not telling her, for fear she'll slip and tell everyone our name choices. I'm 17 weeks now, and feeling good except for the expected exhaustion that goes along with pregnancy, plus toddler. We are going to be surprised again with the gender of the baby, though I have to admit it's much more tempting to find out this time for convenience sake. I thought I'd post some belly pics for your enjoyment.

Potty Time, Excellent!

We are embarking on potty training with Anna....it's been sort of a "wing it" process. It started when Anna's friend, Sofia, gave her some undies that she didn't like. Anna wanted to wear them, so I told her that she would have to go on the potty like a big girl. She agreed, and so it began. She did suprisingly well! We worked hard on it for a weekend, and she seemed to get the hang of it. We still struggle with certain "issues" but for the most part, she is diaper-free during the day. Yay, Anna! So far so good. Of course, she always wants us to take her picture. Here are a few cute ones (I apparently have a future underwear model on my hands!)
